Servant morality , bitch.

...

Alright , anyone of you people ever studied philosophy ?

I have. Got three courses of that mind-bending , ass-cracking , completely bitchin' and courageous stuff behind me. I can't say it's made me a better person nor has it made me learn anything really concrete for the past year and half , but it makes me feel good and I'm reasonably good in it.

There's this specific guy who just keeps on popping up in front of me whenever I study the stuff. And that guy is this German man named Mr. Friedrich Nietzsche. During my studies , I've learned that Mr. Nietzsche has an almost fanatical following among the teenaged intellectuals. It's easy to connect everything that he says to the normal teen angst , and bend it so that you can easily identify Christianity as the problem to all of worlds problems.

There's this group of people that have been roaming around my philosophy courses for the last year(s). They are very much angry towards the Christian religion , since their mentor has notified people through his "Thus spoke Zarachustra" - writings that it is actually the Christian religion that makes everyone either servants or masters. Your goal in life is to rise above all morality , and go "above and beyond" the concepts of good and bad. Do you dig it? Well , I sure don't.

So anyway , some of the young people with reasonable intellect and a bit confused values (not in all cases) actually support this guy and adopt his views as their own. Apparently it's just a temporary phase , which everyone has to go through in their own way. But these guys in my courses , they really make me wonder. And yeah , you need to be teenaged and with some intellectual value in yourself in order to learn it. You see , I've never been a very smart or intellectual person , so that shit has just passed me by completely. Heh , the good sides of being stupid..

Nietzsches' writings were also adopted by the national-socialists in Germany during the 30's and 40's. Remember what happened ? Remember Hitlerjugend ? Well , the Nazis adopted and twisted it to their own agendas and here we are. But what interests me the most , is that this Nietzsche - guy decided to condemn Christianity completely and make it the biggest goddamn scapegoat ever. Yeah , just like Islam wouldn't have been that bad at all , they're all made by man and thus operate and function the same way... Religions , I mean. "Same shit , different package" - come pick up your own , and pray for salvation or Jihad.

It don't really matter , in my opinion. Call "god" whatever you like , or don't call him anything , Like I do. Saves alot trouble in my opinion , but hey , that's just me..

So I don't know , I'm pretty sure that those guys in my course will grow out of it sooner or later. They'll understand that Nietzsche is full of shit. He may appeal to the teens for a couple of years , but after that , you'll have to grow out of it or you'll blame a goddamned religion for your own mistakes for the next 50 years. Not worth the trouble , and moreover , makes you wonder what would a full-blooded Nietzsche - supporter in his/her fifties look or think like.

Like , first of all , what Nietzsche tells you about , are the "servant" and "master" - concepts of morality. Whatever you do in life , in his words , should be to make to the "master" - level. Where you control everything in your life and where you decide completely what's beyond good and evil , and all that.. "To rise above the moral standards set-up by the Christian totalitarian religion".

Right now , people that haven't been educated about his ideology are in the "servant" - level. We , "the servants" blindly accept what our supposed "god" , the Christian religion sets as moral and ethical standards. We follow them since we're "slaves" (sometimes servant morality is also referred to as slave morality , btw ) to the Christian religion. The religion tells us what is right and what is wrong , the religion tells us what to believe and what not to believe. The religion even tells us how to live correctly in order to make it to the afterlife , or heaven.. Where all of your sins will be forgiven and eternal life , happiness , and bliss awaits in the garden of Eden.

Yeah , that is pretty extreme. But , when you follow Islam the same way , the same goddamn Limbo begins again. The major religions are in no way better to each other , and never have been. All of them are soaked in blood. All of them have been set-up by man , and therefore are very human when used as instruments of oppression (the crusades in the middle-ages , Islamic fundamentalism = Wahhabism , and various other forms of oppression) .

Even if the major religions might've been set-up by "divine beings" , man has corrupted them (like when some Haji tells you in Cairo that "Islam the religion of peace" ) but somehow it all seems too obvious. Man made religions , got followers to follow them , and understood how to use religion in order to oppress his fellow man. Of course , these days I'm more of an Agnostic than a full-blooded Atheist anymore. "I'll believe it when I see" , I've said before.

Sorry for getting a bit carried away there , but what I'm trying to say here , is that it isn't just the Christian religion causing the world to be in this state (I guess Nietzsche had something of a personal Vendetta against it) , It's all the others too. Believe me , dear lady or sir , it's almost all of them. Of course then there's the relatively quiet religions such as Buddhism , and that Japanese "Shinto" (I'm sorry for not being able to spell it correctly at this time) - religion which , to me , seem pretty peaceful. Of course , I don't know if the Japanese really waged war during WWII on religious grounds , so I'd say the whole "Shinto" - thing isn't as tarnished in blood as are many others.

So hey , become a Buddhist or one them Taoists , or don't believe in anything , or believe in everything. You've got a wide selection from which to choose from , I'm afraid.

Btw , Mr. Tuhkio's been abused by someone named "Seymour Natus" ... Gives me the chills because he sounds like a serial killer.

EDIT: apparently it's a character from a game. Damn.. Never mind.
