Goddamn, I haven't felt this good about a movie for a long time - can you believe this shit! Just watched Mallrats by none other than Kevin Smith himself! This must be like the second Kevin Smith movie I saw, with Clerks naturally being my favorite of all of them. I've always liked his movies simply because I can find some similarities between the situations, characters and stuff in them happening with my own life. Mallrats was a great fucking movie in every aspect. This man is a genius.
And you know, you might even call Mallrats one of those romantic movies, too. If some chick comes up to me in the future, I'm definitely telling her that my favorite chick-flick or "romance movie" is Mallrats - just to see how the girl responds! WOO-HOO, MOTHERFUCKERS!
Damn, I haven't seen a comedy movie that good in a while. Definitely have to see Chasing Amy soon, or perhaps even Clerks II. And additionally, let me say that alot of the current comedy movies haven't really made me laugh that hard as Mallrats did now. Maybe Borat let out some laughs, though.
Anyways, tomorrow's gonna be "help day" for me. A bunch of people saw me walking down from the store the other day, and them being neighbours asked if I wanted something to do. I asked them if I really looked that bored, and they replied by admitting that they were kinda too lazy to do their own bidding - and thus asked if I wanted to do something for them. The "something for them" meant painting their picket fence into a light shade of grey - which I was happy to agree to after they persuaded me with hard currency. The picket fence is kinda long, but then again I've got plenty of time on my hands - and I love being outside now that the weather is hot as hell. Just have to remember to take care of proper hydration by bringing lots of carbonated water with me. So, umm.. Probably gonna have a great day outside tomorrow by my current standards. And let's face it, I wouldn't be able to do this sort of shit back home, either.
Umm.. Finally, let me just say a few things about the weather. Wow, now don't we just have the greatest weather out there, or what!? At noon I checked the temperature inside, and it was 26 degrees! I won't care how much it is in Fahrenheit, but trust me - I'm sure the Americans would find it "hot enough" according to their scales too, you know.
Anyways, Got to go to sleep now. I've got an early wake-up call 'cause of my little "winning hearts and minds"-mission scheduled for tomorrow.
Bye bye!
And remember, people.. NOBODY WANTS TO BE TURNED INTO A MONKEY!
