The day the king of pop died.

I really didn't see Michael Jackson kicking the bucket this early. What was he, about 50 years old? This is surprising, but then again considering the amount of plastic surgery and other operations performed on him, I couldn't really say that there wouldn't have been certain complications for him in the long run. And then again, you know, he is unique in the way that he's one of those black guys who turned into white guys.. Certainly such a change has had to leave its' marks on his physical condition, too. Anyways, I'd call this a tragic and unforeseen death. Rest in Peace, Michael Jackson. I wonder what happens to that monkey of his - "Bubbles" wasn't it? Or is his life "old news" already?

I'm not a big fan of his 90's and early 2000's music at all, actually - but I do like his 80's and late 70's stuff. That Moon Walk-stuff must've been phenomenal back in the day, and no matter what James Brown says, I'll still remember Michael Jackson as the original inventor of the Moon Walk - no matter how much he said that it was rip-off of his Camel Walk, or whatever the hell it was called.

Anyways, I'm sure Michael Jackson's gonna be sorely missed all over the world. And to think about it, wasn't he supposed to start some sort of a comeback tour? Clearly that's been cancelled now.

Hmm.. All of these deaths got me thinking again. I mean, Michael Jackson is dead now. I remember this one saying that goes along the lines that "when all of your idols are dead, then you'll now you've grown old". Clearly Michael Jackson wasn't really an idol of mine, but still I liked his music and considered him a good artist despite a somewhat tumultaneous private life. I've seen this guy on TV since I was probably like five years old, and I remember hits like "What about us", "Billie Jean", "Bad" and "Beat It" - and now that guy is dead! Man! How intensely surreal is that now, huh? It does make you wonder sometimes, you know.

Anyways, the weather has been perfect here. It's so goddamn hot that you can't do anything else besides lay in your backyard and absorb the precious rays of sunlight that these northern climates rarely have to offer. I bough some "medium protection sun care lotion" today, and tomorrow I'm definitely planning to soak up in the sun for the entire day. I don't know if girls dig tans anymore, but I'm definitely having one for this summer. The way I see things is that such things couldn't hurt.
